In this week, we are beginning JavaScript by working from an existing template rather than starting from scratch. Using a template lets us focus on understanding how JavaScript behaves, how changes affect the program, and how different parts of the code work together. Babylon.js gives us immediate visual feedback, which makes testing and experimentation easier. By adjusting values, adding objects, and breaking things on purpose, we can quickly see the results of our ideas. This approach helps build confidence with JavaScript through hands-on exploration, not memorization.Sample text. Click to select the Text Element.

Pathway 1
Looks like the company was happy with our successful blog but there were many protests regarding the fact that we did not include the Phorizie's language. As you should have known after working on Mars this long, the Phorizies helped to colonize the earth and after creating the well-known pyramids, they helped to colonize Mars. The thing is, they only speak in 3-dimensional space. Don't worry, HTML may not be able to help us, but HTML5 and JavaScript can. You called up your old friend at the corner slug market and asked it, how do we articulate our content into the Phorizie language? After looking over your site, it said, “Just create two 3D spheres and a 3D plane.” Great, that means lots of learning and coding! Then you remembered that someone else has already done the code for us, we just need to find the right code library to add on to. Luckily JavaScript and HTML have more code libraries out there than any other codebase.
Pathway 2
Add an extra Web page to your website that represents a
comparison of your story and your favorite movie or show. Upload your comparison
to the Media Reviews Discord Channel under the news category
Pathway 3
1. Watch one of Professor Stalbert's Movies and write a one paragraph review 2. Follow along and complete the tutorials as mentioned in the requirements. 3. Upload your review to the Media Reviews Discord Channel under the news category
Write a Review or Summary: After reading your chosen article, write a thoughtful review or summary. Highlight key points, your insights, and what you found most compelling or useful. Post Your Work: Share your review or summary in the "Articles & Reviews." channel on Discord under the P2P Collaborate category.
Preparation
The preparation section provides you with the elements needed to complete the requirements.
The following steps must be completed to receive the associated points for each step. Any item marked with a * must be completed to receive a score above 1.
01
Add Babylon.js 3D
-
First: Watch the :"Intro to Babalon" Next: Download the example folders
Last: Learn how to create links by watching the tutorial in the resources area called: Adding Website and Links Tutorial Substack
Use the <a> link to allow the user to navigate to your 3D babylon.js page.

02
Customize your project
-
Change the attributes in the Babylon.js file from the resources section (Download: Example Working Folder and Files) to make the project your own.
This is scientist time: break things on purpose, test one change at a time, observe what happens, and adjust based on what you learn.
Notes: You can add a second sphere (or any other object) if you want. That part is up to you.
The goal is experimentation. Try ideas, make mistakes, debug, and keep iterating.
25 Points
03
Create a Folder
-
Create a Week 4 folder inside your Google Drive project folder.
Inside that folder, create a text file named TestNotes.txt and include the following:
A list of the changes you made in your customized version of the project
Tests you would like to try in the future
Any new ideas or experiments you thought about while working on the code
This file should act as a running log of your experimentation and observations.

04
Project Review
-
Write your review document based on the pathway (i.e.,1,2,3, or 4) you selected and include this review in a folder named "Pathway Reviews"
*
05
Post to Discord
-
Upload a link to your review file "ONLY" to the Discord channel described in the pathway above {Substack Post Exploration}.
Take a screenshot of your post on Discord and add it to your folder : "week 4 folder /Pathway Reviews" on your Google Drive.*

06
Submit to Canvas
-
Submit an "unrestricted Google folder link" of your completed assignment.
