(Creating, Sharing, Folders, and the Cloud)

What is Cloud Storage?
Now that we have our story from last week, we need to learn one of the most important things in any project, documentation and making it available to those that need access. There are many ways to do this, but one of the easiest ways is by utilizing a cloud drive like Google Drive, AWS, Azure, DropBox, OneDrive, or even Mega.

The traditional methods of storing data such as hard drives and pen drives or any other storage device have a lot of advantages associated. But once the storage device gets corrupted all the data stored gets lost. Hence the virtual cloud storage is a replica of the traditional storage devices where the users can store their data and keep their backup files on hardware and USB flash drives. Because Google Drive and OneDrive is integrated into Canvas, this may be the best choice for a cloud drive.

What is Discord?
Discord is a community-building platform that combines VoIP, instant messaging, and digital distribution. Users communicate in private conversations or as part of "servers" through voice calls, video calls, text messaging, media, and files. Servers are a collection of chat rooms and voice chat channels that remain active throughout time. This course uses Discord as a resource to connect students and instructors.

Prepare Our Environment For Success
Now it's time to start structuring our story into a document that our team can reference. Right now your team is one person (You), however, that may change in the future. The story is how every product, game, or company begins and is built on the back of a well-formatted document for those who are responsible.

~ Don't worry, the resources will provide you with a video to walk you through all the requirements in this assignment step by step. If you follow along with the tutorial in the resources area and add your own folder structure, you would have all the requirements met for this assignment. For any questions, please post them on the Discord.
